What To Bring on Thanksgiving

I wanted to share some of my favorite things to bring as a guest on Thanksgiving, since it is right around the corner. A thoughtful gift is always a nice gesture, even when the hostess says “ don’t bring anything!” I hope you get some inspiration from some of the gift ideas below.

Emory

Heyy!

My name is Emory (Em), and I am currently a senior at a University in Pennsylvania. I like to consider myself a Jersey girl because of my big and loud personality even if I only go a handful of times per year. I thrive off of being with friends, exploring new places, and being as spontaneous as I can. On the weekends you can find me with a sangria in my right hand and a margarita in the left. I absolutely love socializing and will never miss a night out on the town. I hope you enjoy my articles!

Pick #1

Appetizer

My favorite thing to bring to any special occasion is a charcuterie board. It is always a crowd-pleaser, and I make one every year. Trader Joe’s has a great assortment of cheeses, meats, fruits, and other goodies to assemble the cheese board. I like to buy a custom wooden board off of Etsy and a set of jams for the hostess to keep.

Pick #2

You can never go wrong with fresh flowers as a gift. I usually put together my arrangements by buying multiple bouquets. Wegmans has beautiful fall-colored flowers that smell incredible and last a long time. The last step is choosing a vase to put the flowers in!

Pick #2

Pick #3

Whenever I need a last-minute gift, my go-to is either a nice bottle of wine or a homemade sangria. Sangria pairs perfectly with Thanksgiving dinner because it is so light and refreshing. It is a great signature drink to have on any special occasion. Here is the recipe I use, linked below. I hope you enjoy it!

Pick #4

Who doesn’t love receiving a nice candle around the holidays? I always stock up on candles to bring them as gifts during this time of year. My favorite place to buy them from is Anthropology because not only do they look beautiful, but they smell amazing. My personal favorite is the Capri Blue Volcano candle.

Pick #4

Pick #5

A game is always an excellent present for Thanksgiving because it gets friends and family laughing and having fun together. My favorite is TableTopics because I love a good icebreaker game to create conversation at the table. There is a set of cards for any occasion and a range of ages. The best one for Thanksgiving dinner is the holiday conversation pack, family gathering, or dinner party.
