Cleanser Fall Skincare

Especially in the colder months, it’s important to use a cleanser that actually cleans your skin but doesn’t strip away your moisture barrier.

The Superfood Cleanser from Youth to the People is gentle enough for everyday use and perfect for all skin types. Formulated with antioxidants from spinach, kale, and green tea, it offers a powerful cleanse without messing up your skin’s pH.

Toner

The Perfecting 2% BHA Toner from Paula’s Choice is a cult favorite and for good reason. In the summer, my pores are more clogged and I use this every day.

In the fall and winter I use it every other day and focus more on nourishing my skin and moisture barrier than exfoliating. If you currently use a retinol, use AHA or BHA products on different days.

Serum

A hyaluronic acid serum is one of the best things you can use to hydrate your skin in the fall or winter. This one from Good Molecules is not only affordable, but also has great ingredients and hundreds of 5-star reviews. Pat into damp skin to see the best results!

Moisturizer

I prefer to use a lightweight moisturizer underneath my sunscreen in the summer, but in the fall, I prefer something a little more heavy duty, like the Natural Moisturizing Factors from the Ordinary. This moisturizer has hyaluronic acid and ceramides to keep your skin glowing from the inside out.

Eye Cream

Eye cream is important in any skincare routine, especially if you suffer from dark circles or puffy under eyes in the mornings.

The Caffeine Eye Cream from The INKEY List is one of my favorites because it’s formulated with ceramides and caffeine to be hydrating but de-puffing to make you look more alert.

Oil

I have dry skin, so I finish my skincare routine with an oil even in the summer, but all skin types can benefit from ending with an oil in the fall or winter. The Hydrating Recovery Oil from BYOMA uses squalane and jojoba oil to hydrate your skin without making you break out.

Lips

If you’re anything like me, you can’t go to bed with chapped lips. Sometimes in the fall and winter, regular chapstick just doesn’t cut it for me. Most lip products use flavoring that can make your lips even more dry.

The Lip Balm #1 from Kiehl’s is fragrance-free, cruelty free, and uses hydrating ingredients like squalane to be hydrating without feeling sticky.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is an essential part of a good skincare routine, even when it’s cold and cloudy. My favorite lightweight sunscreen is the innisfree Daily UV Defense.

Not only is it affordable, but it’s UV 36 which is perfect for fall or winter days. There’s no white cast and it leaves skin super glowy; not oily!

Your skin is your largest organ and it’s important to take care of it! Aside from having an effective skincare routine, you can make sure you’re hydrating from the inside out by drinking plenty of water. Also, avoid taking super hot showers because they can dry out your skin even more.
